Description

This film, a history of Washington, DC's 12th Street YMCA, was produced by junior high school students participating in the Anthony Bowen YMCA's after school program. The YMCA group collaborated with the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company's outreach program to product the film and conduct oral histories with former 12th Street YMCA members.

In addition to the oral histories, the students performed detailed historical research on the 12th Street YMCA, and took a tour of the then-empty facility. The students also examined the efforts to renovate and reopen the building.
