Description
The Road to Brown tells the story of the Brown v. Board of Education ruling as the culmination of a brilliant legal assault on segregation that launched the Civil Rights movement.
The film highlights each of the major cases argued by notable NAACP lawyer Charles Hamilton Houston which built the legal precedence to ensure eventual success before the Supreme Court.
Much of the documentary functions as a biopic of Houston's life, describing the early discrimination he faced as a soldier in the first World War, and his decision to study law as a tool to end racial segregation.
