Description

The Neighborhood Farm Initiative interviewed members of Washington, DC's growing urban agriculture community to document the history of growing food in the city.

Senerchia and his wife bought a house in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC in 1977. He got into gardening through his wife, and though neither had much experience at first, their pragmatic approach eventually yielded supplemental food for their family year round.
