Zora Neale Hurston's Washington

This walking tour of parts of the Shaw, Le Droit Park, and Cardozo neighborhoods links the life of Zora Neale Hurston and her book, Their Eyes Were Watching God, to physical locations in Washington, DC. The tour was created for the 2007 Big Read, and features sites such as: Miner Teacher's College at Howard University, the Howard Theatre, the old 12th Street YMCA (now Thurgood Marshall Center), and the Jean Toomer House.
