The series features 5 interviews with U.S. military veterans, each serving during a different 20-21st century conflict. Education Plus 2 conducted the interviews in the Brightwood neighborhood of Washington, DC, with the goal of submitting them to the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.
As of 2010, Vinson was a Major in the US Army National Guard. She began her service in the military in 1985, as a student at Georgia Tech University.
