Education
Flaxie Pinkett walked across the Dunbar High School stage in 1932 to recieve her diploma at the young age of 14. She immediately enrolled at Howard University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in 1936. Pinkett subsequently pursued professional studies at American University, Howard University and the institute of Real Estate Management. Her commitment to education was strong as evidenced by her positions as President of the D.C. Citizens for Better Public Education and Trustee of both the George Washington University and the University of the District of Columbia Fund.
